Training and workshops for community workers

The Clinique Droits Devants offers a series of three workshops for workers in community organizations. We ask for a $15 contribution per person per workshop, except for Pilier community workers. The first theoretical workshop allows them to understand penal procedure (concerning tickets) and to get a sense of criminal procedure.

The second practical workshop requires the application of the knowledge acquired during the first workshop to fictitious cases and provides advice on accompaniment in the legal field. It is highly recommended to attend both workshops (theoretical and practical) since they complement each other.

NEW! The third workshop will allow you to know about the potential recourses in case of police abuse, such as police ethics and Commision des droits de la personne (Human rights commission) complaints, small claims recourses, etc.

Training and workshops for individuals

The Clinique Droits Devant visits community organizations in Montreal to offer workshops to people who have lived, are currently living or are at risk of living homelessness and who face legal problems. The workshop aims to inform people on their rights in penal matters, on their available options to regularize their legal situation and on their recourse in case of police abuse.
