ACCOMPANIMENT TO MUNICIPAL COURT

The Clinique Droits Devant’s community workers offer social accompaniment to people who have lived, are currently living or are at risk of living homelessness to contest their tickets at the Municipal Court or to lift a warrant of arrest in criminal matters.

ACCOMPANIMENT TO THE COURTHOUSE

Social accompaniment to the Montreal Courthouse is offered to people who have lived, are currently living or are at risk of living homelessness to contest their tickets linked to provincial or federal legislation (e.g. tickets given by CN (railway service) or Sûreté du Québec officers).

Our community workers offer information on penal procedure and on the proceedings of a hearing, assist in requesting the disclosure of evidence and provide moral support and accompaniment during the day of the hearing, free of charge.

Warning! The Clinique’s community workers are not lawyers and thus cannot give legal advice nor represent people in court.
