What is the Clinic? <\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Clinique Droits Devant offers information and social support to people who have lived, are currently living or are at risk of homelessness in order for them to take control over their legal situation, mainly over tickets linked to the occupation of public space in Montreal.<\/p>\n

People living homeless in Montreal receive many tickets for trivial reasons (loitering, sleeping on a bench, urinating in a public space, crossing a street diagonally, etc.). This judicial situation has serious consequences for the person and many costs for society.To know more about the judiciarization of homelessness in public space, you can consult this study and this report.<\/p>\n
